Mary Rabena
Mary Lou Gorospe Rabena, 73, of Mountain View, died March 3, 2019, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Nov. 25, 1945, in San Juan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she was a waitress for the former KK Tei Restraunt in Hilo, macadamia nut sorter for Island Princes, and a member of a Filipino Dance Club and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.
Friends may call 6-9 p.m. April 12 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for visitation; wake service at 7. Friends may also call 8-10 a.m. April 13 at the chapel for visitation; prayer service at 10 a.m. Casual attire; flowers welcomed. Burial at Homelani Memorial Park (Ilima Section).
She is survived by daughter, Sharon (Henry) Rabena of Mountain View; son, Rex (Racquel) Rabena of California; brother, Juan (Lourdes) Gorospe of Keaau; four grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lewyllen Fragas Sr.
Lewyllen Kulani Fragas Sr. 67, of Pahoa, died March 18, 2019, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a member of the Highlander and Kats Softball Teams and a former softball coach at Waiakea and Keaau high schools.

He is survived by wife, Darlene Fragas of Pahoa; daughters, Cara (Todd) Kaneshiro of Hilo and Candice (Garry Kaawa) Fragas of Ka’u; son, Lewyllen (Jacqueline Van Blarcom) Fragas Jr. of Papaikou; mother, Mary Fragas of Hilo; brothers, Harding (Michelle) Fragas of Keaau and Harlen (Leona) Fragas of Hilo; sister, Marylou (Clifford) Hokoana of Pahoa; hanai mother, Lei Pae of Oahu; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Natalie “Nat” Stephanie Santana, 53, of Kailua-Kona, died March 9, 2019, at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born July 25, 1965, in Kealakekua, she was a homemaker, former cashier and certified nurses aide.

Earl Takeo Watanabe, 71, of Keaau, died March 10, 2019, at Pohai Malama. Born in Hilo, he was the proprietor of Earl T. Watanabe and Associates.
